The following six steps must be completed before the College Office can process a student's graduation application:
- Major/Minor Programs Formally Declared: If not yet complete, meet with a College of Arts & Sciences Academic Advisor to complete the Change of Program (COP) form. This form formally declares the chosen major and minor(s), if applicable. Students will be provided two copies of each Major/Minor Sheets, which list the requirements for the major/minor programs selected. One copy is for the student's faculty advisor and one copy is for the students own information. The COP and the requirements sheets must be taken to the student's major/minor departments for assignment of departmental faculty advisors. The student's major/minor faculty advisors will sign the COP form, and assist the student in selecting coursework to satisfy their major/minor requirements. After meeting with the faculty advisor, the entire Original Change of Program form must be returned to 105 Bowman Hall for final collegial approval.
- Electives Identified (if required): If the major/minor of choice requires approved electives, a copy of the major/minor sheet with the approved electives designated and signed and dated by the Faculty Advisor must be returned to 105 Bowman Hall.
- Substitutions Complete: All substitutions must be submitted in writing on a substitution form signed by the Faculty Advisor and Department Chair and must be approved by the College Office, 105 Bowman Hall.
- Transfer Evaluations Complete: All transfer evaluations must be submitted on a transfer evaluation form, completed and signed by the appropriate Department Advisor and approved by the College Office.
- Senior Status: A minimum of 90 hours, as defined for registration purposes, is required for a student to reach senior status. Keep in mind 42 hours of completed upper division courses are also required for graduation.
- Application Received by the Published Deadline: Application must be completed and submitted to the College Office, Bowman 105, by the published deadlines. Click here to download a graduation application.
