MODEL NATO CONFERENCE

The purpose of the course, NATO, the Enduring Alliance (History 38095) is to help students acquire a solid historical and functional understanding of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and to prepare them to participate as delegates to the National Model NATO Conference. That class was offered in the Spring 2006 by Dr. S. Victor Papacosma

The National Model NATO is jointly sponsored by Howard and Kent State Universities, brings together college and university students to study the role, organization, and activities of NATO through a simulation that is augmented by briefings at the Embassies of NATO Member and (PfP) States.

The 2007 Conference will take place on February 21 - 24 in Washington, D. C.  Dr. Mark Rubin, Emeritus Professor, Kent State University is one of the Conference Co-coordinators.
