Welcome
KSARS is comprised of a small group of physics undergraduate students whose interests include (radio) astronomy, and astrophysics. The original intent of the project was to further the Physics department's involvement in astronomical research through a student-lead effort, as well as create a new instrument on campus. The goal was to construct a radio telescope from scratch, and conduct observations as a collaborative group. Now, with the donation of a fully operational radio telescope from MIT and Wellesley College, we have been given an opportunity to satisfy our goal. Over the next few months, the telescope will be refurbished, setup, and new observations will begin. Hopefully by the end of Spring semester we will be operational. Be sure to check back for updates on our status!
