"It is good to have an end to journey towards, but it is the journey that matters in the end." -Ursula LeGuin
What I wish I would have known as an undergraduate...
- Not to take "advising" tips from fellow classmates or assume they know better than my advisor what to do.
- I had 4 years of French in high school, but make the mistake of starting over with Spanish because I lacked both the confidence and good solid guidance from a professional advisor.
- To ask for help - that this shows wisdom, not stupidity. Not to assume anything - to check it out with college officials.
- That I didn't have to do everything perfect - just get it done; to think progress, not perfection. My procrastination was related to my need for perfection.
